QUESTION: What's you favorite food?

ANSWER: Veggie Sunday Roast! (But pizza is up there too!)

QUESTION: Whats your favorite record right now?

ANSWER: Lady GaGa - I am hooked!! It is addictive!

QUESTION: When did you start performing?

ANSWER: I first performed when I was about 4 years old - I was like a rabbit in headlights!

QUESTION: Is it more difficult to break into the industry as a female solo artist?

ANSWER : There are limited opportunities for solo artists in the UK. Currently in the commercial/pop genre we only seem to produce reality TV stars. When people hear that I am a singer, the first question is "So have you applied for the X Factor?" What happened to hard work and being rewarded for it? If people actually think that it is a genuine show about discovering talent they are mistaken. They are being fooled and wasting their money in my opinion. No offence to the contestants, who work hard for the show, but success should come from having the objective of making good music and performing it well not from becoming a TV personality. After all, isn't all TV an illusion?

I believe I deserve a place in the industry for my talents, hard work and dedication. I don't want to 'win' a record deal from singing other people's songs. It's hard work - but it's honest. I just feel sorry for the amazing vocalists and songwriters in the UK that can't get any success owing to the X Factor or the hand-picking of the students from the 'Brit School' including Leona Lewis, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash, Imogen Heap, Katie Melua - pretty much all our female artists have come from this school, which is shocking really! It makes you wonder if the image and songs are already created before someone is chosen to portray them...

I am working very hard to break that mould - I want young people to grow up thinking "if I want to be a singer I am going to have to practice really hard, work day and night, learn my trade and dedicate myself to my career." These days its - "I want to be famous - I'll audition for a reality TV show." It's not about being famous, it's about being great at what you do and deserving the success you achieve.

QUESTION: What do you do to chill out?

ANSWER: I love to do things that take your mind off things, like going for a walk or reading... I am a big fan of Sophie Kinsella and I am looking forward to the Shopaholic movie based on her books =)

QUESTION: Which song was your favorite to write and which song is your favorite to perform?

ANSWER: The song I enjoyed writing the most has to be 'Smart Girl'. I really enjoyed writing the music and it all came together very quickly. Writing the lyrics with my writing partner was also cool as it was a different take on 'celebrity' and fame. I hope that it can make an impact for some people's lives and point out that fame is about perception.

My favorite song to perform changes. Invisible is generally the favorite for the audience so I love performing that song. Also I love it when I get a chance to just sing with a guitar and do acoustic versions of my songs. It all depends on the audience and what they enjoy.

QUESTION: Are your songs about your personal experiences?

ANSWER: Definitely. I write from my heart. I think about hard times I have had, good times I have had and it just comes. The great thing is that people can relate to me - After all I am a regular young person and I have experiences that everyone goes through. My music is about taking your experiences, good and bad, and building your personality from them to make you stronger. I am grateful to the people who bullied me, the people who rejected me, the people who love me and the people that hurt me - It has made me strong and well rounded. I am proud to have come out the other end the better person and I hope the music encourages others to do the same.

QUESTION: How would you describe yourself in three words?

ANSWER: Underground, Edgy and Sexy!
